Congrats to Coach Matt McSorleyđź’šđź–¤

Sport Inclusion Australia and Swimming Australia are pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew McSorley as Head Coach of the Australian team to compete at the 2025 Virtus Swimming World Championships in Bangkok.
“Matthew has over 17 years experience in coaching and brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and dedication to the Team.” said Robyn Smith CEO of Sport Inclusion Australia.
Matt made his Australian debut coaching at the 2023 Virtus Global Games in Vichy, France working under then Head Coach Herbie Howard.
Over the last 5 years, Matthew has been fortunate to be employed as Head of Aquatics Operations & Senior Swim Coach of @barkercollege in Sydney’s North West @swimmingmetronorthwest as well as the Head Coach of @hornsbyswimclub Matthew is looking forward to the Championships and being able to assist the Australian Swimmers and Coaches prepare and perform at their best.
“I am excited to build on Australia’s outstanding legacy of World swimming success by fostering a culture of growth, determination, and teamwork. I am committed to helping each Athlete and Coach reach their full potential during this campaign and beyond with the invaluable assistance from @sportincaus and @swimmingaustralia I would also like to take this moment to thank all concerned for the opportunity for our entire Team to represent our country in Bangkok.” Coach Matt said.
Coach Matt will be extremely well supported by experienced Team Manager Tracy Lawrence. Other team appointments expect to be made in the coming weeks.
